Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, witnessed today the opening of the third edition of the annual international industry forum and Exhibition, on behalf of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, president of the Republic, which is organized by the Federation of Egyptian Industries, under the auspices of the president of the Republic, at the Manara Center for international conferences and exhibitions, during the period from November 25 to 27, in the presence of an actor including a number of ministers, governors, representatives of diplomatic missions, members of the House of Representatives and senators, heads of bodies, senior officials, as well as a number of businessmen and investors and domestic and foreign manufacturers, representatives of competent regional and international institutions, representatives of The banking sector, industrial and commercial economic entities, a large group of consultants specializing in various industrial sectors.

Upon his arrival at the Al Manara Conference Center, the prime minister was received by Lieutenant General Engineer/ Kamel al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Minister of industry and transport, and engineer/ Mohamed Zaki al-Suwaidi, president of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, where Dr. Mustafa Madbouly stressed that His Excellency the president’s sponsorship of this event comes from the state’s genuine interest in promoting the industrial sector and enhancing its contribution to attracting investment and achieving sustainable economic development, pointing to the state’s support for this forum as it is a platform to discuss the challenges facing the industrial sector and and globally.

This year, the forum will witness a number of dialogue sessions and workshops held in parallel on investment in industry, sustainability, the energy industry, industrial digital transformation, economic changes, supporting Egyptian exports, the future of Chemical Industries, mechanisms to support the National Industry, Emerging Opportunities in the field of industry, financing sustainable industries, the role of economic projects in the national economy, as well as areas of economic cooperation with Arab, regional and international circles, and includes halls for discussions, bilateral meetings and future partnerships, with an exhibition that includes 18 industrial sectors for the first time.

The events witnessed the screening of a documentary film about the development of the Egyptian industrial sector and promising opportunities, reviewing the results of the development of a number of factories and companies over the past years and the expansion of their activities and the fruits of this in driving the volume of national exports, in addition to addressing the effects of the advancement in the sectors of roads, new cities, ports and infrastructure in enhancing industrial growth opportunities in the Egyptian market, attracting international companies to pump their investments in Egypt, in addition to the Export Support Program, steps to support small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as the role of schools, universities and technological institutes at the level of the Republic in preparing qualified industrial cadres, in an effort to expand the adoption of technology This confirms the Egyptian state’s efforts to create all opportunities to support the industry.

The attendees also listened to the speech of Engineer Mohamed Zaki al-Suwaidi, president of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, during which he reviewed the most prominent efforts exerted to promote the industrial sector in order to enhance the promising opportunities that abound, appreciating the role of the Egyptian state in this regard and the great attention it pays to this sector, which is reflected in the appointment of a deputy prime minister for industrial development, and the government’s keenness to hold consecutive meetings to discuss manufacturers ‘ problems and make decisions to find solutions to them, with field visits to this sector on a continuous basis.

The president of the Federation of Egyptian Industries considered that national technical labor is one of the most important elements of attracting investors to the Egyptian market, pointing to the role of centers that have been implemented to support small industries and handicrafts with distinctive incentives, while working in cooperation with the state to provide land for various industrial projects.

Engineer Mohamed Zaki al-Suwaidi also pointed out that the measures taken by the government in cooperation with the central bank regarding monetary policies contributed to achieving discipline in the markets, and therefore it was one of the most important elements of attracting investors to the Egyptian market and creating export opportunities more, stressing what he touches that the doors of the government are always open to investors, especially manufacturers.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly will witness, within the activities of the forum and exhibition, a dialogue session entitled “investment in industry-opportunities for integration and growth”, during which the team engineer/ Kamel al-Wazir, deputy prime minister for Industrial Development, Minister of industry and transport, representing the government, engineer Mohamed Zaki al-Suwaidi, president of the Federation of Egyptian industries, representing the private sector, Mrs. Amani Eid, executive director of the National Initiative “start” for the development of Egyptian industry, and engineer Tarek Hussein, in charge of the alliance of Sky and Reliance logistics companies, representing private companies, will speak.
