Today, Dr. Ali al-ghamrawy, chairman of the Egyptian pharmaceutical Authority, received Mr. Manuel Alberto, Deputy Minister of health of the Republic of Panama at the headquarters of the Egyptian pharmaceutical authority in mansouriya.
Dr. Ali al-ghamrawy, chairman of the commission, stressed the importance attached by the Egyptian state to the export of medicines to various countries of the world, especially after its success in exporting insulin to Cuba, and our desire to expand in Latin America, where Egyptian medicine enjoys competitiveness and high quality.
For his part, the Panamanian deputy minister expressed the Panamanian government’s welcome to this strategic cooperation, stressing that his country has the largest free zones in the world after Singapore, in addition to its unique geographical location overlooking the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, which makes it the gateway for Egyptian medicine not only to Panama, but to the entire Latin American market.
On the sidelines of the visit of the Panamanian deputy minister, a tour was coordinated for His Excellency to a number of Egyptian pharmaceutical factories, where he praised the record industrial levels reached by Egypt in this field.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Ali al-ghamrawy, chairman of the Egyptian pharmaceutical authority, handed over a draft joint memorandum of understanding with the Panamanian Ministry of Health, which was welcomed by Mr. Manuel and promised to hand over the draft to the minister of health of Panama.
At the end of the visit, Dr. Ali al-Ghamrawi expressed his happiness with this constructive meeting, pointing out that these discussions come within the framework of efforts to strengthen Egypt’s position as a Regional Center for the manufacture and export of medicines to world markets.Mr. Manuel Alberto also stressed the importance of strengthening the partnership between the two countries, praising the great potential that Egypt has in the pharmaceutical sector.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Asma Fouad, head of the Central Department of biologics, innovations and clinical studies, Dr. Amani Jawdat, assistant to the chairman of the commission and supervisor of the Central Department of the Office of the chairman of the commission, and Dr. Osama Hatem, assistant to the chairman of the commission for policy affairs and international cooperation and supervisor of the Central Department of pharmaceutical policies and market support.
This comes within the framework of the authority’s continuous efforts to enhance means of cooperation with all countries; based on its regional leadership, and in support of efforts aimed at achieving the permeability of Egyptian Pharmaceuticals in international markets
