The minister of youth and sports witnesses the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Egyptian and Emirati Anti-Doping Organizations in the presence of the UAE ambassador in Cairo

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of youth and sports, witnessed the signing ceremony of a protocol of cooperation between the Egyptian anti-doping organization (NADO) and the UAE Anti-Doping Agency (UAE NADA), in the presence of Ambassador Mariam Al Kaabi, UAE ambassador in Cairo, and Dr. Kamal Darwish, chairman of the scientific committee at the ministry.

In his speech, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi welcomed all the attendees, headed by Ambassador Maryam Al-Kaabi, Dr. may Al-Kaabi, and Dr. Hazem Khamis. The minister praised the role of the Egyptian anti-doping organization, which is one of the top 50 organizations in the world, stressing that the ministry provides its full support to ensure the continuation of its efforts in promoting clean sports.
He explained that the signing of the protocol enhances Arab cooperation, noting the importance of anti-doping to preserve the health and future of athletes, and thanked the Emirati ambassador for her efforts in strengthening sports cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Mariam Al Kaabi expressed her happiness to attend the signing ceremony of the protocol, stressing that it represents an important step for Arab cooperation in the fight against doping, and praised Egypt’s leading role globally in this field. She considered that promoting clean sports is a joint message that the UAE and Egypt are striving to achieve to protect the health of athletes and ensure a better future for them.

Dr. Hazem Khamis, president of the Egyptian anti-doping organization, stressed that the signing of the protocol highlights Egypt’s efforts in the fight against doping, pointing out that the Egyptian organization is a role model at the international level. He added that the continuous support of the Ministry of youth and Sports has played a major role in achieving this distinctive status. He also thanked Dr. Ashraf Sobhi and Dr. may Al-Kaabi for their fruitful cooperation to promote clean sports.

Dr. Mai Al Kaabi, head of the UAE Anti-Doping Agency, stressed that the protocol represents a strong start for Arab Anti-Doping cooperation and highlights the UAE’s commitment to supporting clean sports. She praised the distinguished Egyptian role in this field, stressing that Egypt is a strategic partner in enhancing anti-doping efforts at the Arab and international levels.

The protocol was signed by Dr. Hazem Khamis, president of the Egyptian anti-doping organization, and Dr. may Al-Kaabi, head of the UAE Anti-Doping Agency, and the signing ceremony was attended by a number of heads of Egyptian sports federations and prominent sports figures who stressed the importance of this cooperation in supporting clean sports and strengthening Arab relations
