“Extra News” and the Turkish, Egyptian and international media highlighted the visit of President Sisi to Turkey and its political impact on the region and Egyptian-Turkish cooperation in several fields, through its experts and political analysts.

The historic visit of President Al-Sisi to Turkey is of great importance in terms of timing, especially as it comes in the context of the escalation situation witnessed in the region in light of the continuation of the unprecedented Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and the continued suffering of Palestinians due to the policy of starvation and mass destruction.

Political analysts stressed that the visit carries an important indication that the Palestinian issue does not miss a single moment from the Egyptian foreign policy agenda and the agenda of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi at every meeting, pointing out that the Palestinian issue is always the focus of his discussions, which confirms that Egypt is the safety valve of the Palestinian cause, and the main supporter of the Palestinian people.

They also stressed that there is a match in the Egyptian-Turkish positions regarding the need to stop the Israeli aggression, the introduction of humanitarian assistance and work to support the comprehensive Egyptian approach, which is to launch a path to just and lasting peace through the establishment of a Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

International relations experts explained that Egypt is working to mobilize Arab, Turkish and African efforts to unite the ranks in front of the Zionist entity and defend the rights of the Palestinian people, pointing out that the coincidence of positions between Egypt and Turkey is a message to Israel that there is a consensus rejecting the aggression on Gaza.

He stressed that the meeting will result in strategic coordination on various issues and files, and give a strong impetus to further great momentum to the areas of Economic Cooperation and investment between the two countries.

He pointed out that Sisi’s visit to Turkey fulfills a new detailed stage in the history of the relationship between Egypt and Turkey, explaining that this meeting achieves rapprochement in all the files of the region, and President Sisi stressed that the Turkish vision converges with the Egyptian in the need for a ceasefire and stop the tragedy in the Gaza Strip.

She confirmed Dr.Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and international cooperation, during her visit to Ankara as part of President Sisi’s official visit to Turkey, stressed the importance of strengthening economic and trade relations between Egypt and Turkey.

Al-Mashat pointed out that this cooperation comes within the framework of the joint declaration to reconstitute the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council between the two countries, which represents a new starting point for bilateral relations, especially in light of the celebration of the centenary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

During the meeting with Abdulkadir uraloglu, the Turkish minister of transport and infrastructure and the team of engineer Kamil Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Minister of industry and transport, ways of enhancing cooperation in the fields of transport and infrastructure were discussed.

Al-Mashat held a meeting with Mehmet shimshak, Turkish minister of Treasury and finance, in the presence of albaslan Kakar, president of the Turkish banks Association and CEO of Zirat Bank, where they discussed opportunities for financial and investment cooperation.

In the context, Al-Mashat stressed the broad prospects for economic relations between Egypt and Turkey, noting that the government is looking forward to translating the memorandums of understanding and the provisions of the joint declaration into reality by enhancing economic and social development efforts, increasing joint investments and intra-trade, for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.

The minister of planning pointed to the efforts made by the government to improve the investment environment and attract foreign investments, pointing to its desire to increase Turkish investments, especially in the fields of industry and infrastructure, and highlighted the opportunities available for Turkish investments in the economic zone of the Suez Canal, in addition to the fields of renewable energy and infrastructure.

She pointed out the importance of joint coordination between Egypt and Turkey in international organizations to combat climate change and strengthen multilateral cooperation, stressing the prominent role played by the Ministry of planning in strengthening economic relations with regional and international organizations, multilateral development banks, and United Nations programs to support development efforts and achieve green transformation goals.

In light of the serious challenges facing the world, including financing gaps and geopolitical challenges, “Al-Mashat” stressed the importance of unifying visions and positions on the international arena to enhance development cooperation.

She also stressed the need for integration between Egypt and Turkey as two self-weighting countries in the Middle East, to advance global development efforts and strengthen trilateral cooperation, especially with Egypt joining the “BRICS” grouping and the New Development Bank.
