Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of local development, and Major General Dr. Khaled Mubarak, governor of South Sinai, and engineer Khaled Siddiq, chairman of the Urban Development Fund, on Wednesday signed a protocol to prepare the detailed plan for the cities of Sharm el-Sheikh, Dahab and Ras Sidr in South Sinai governorate .the signing took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of local development in the new administrative capital in the presence of a number of ministry leaders.
Dr. Manal Awad stressed that the protocol comes within the framework of the ministry’s interest to enhance the ability of South Sinai governorate to make the most of its location and lands in order to attract more investments and create comprehensive development in the governorate, which contributes to maximizing the utilization of the governorate’s components and its natural resources, ultimately benefiting its citizens, in implementation of the directives of the president of the Republic to the government to develop and implement a comprehensive development strategic plan for the development and development of Sinai.
The minister of local development explained that the protocol aims to prepare the detailed plan for the cities of Sharm el-Sheikh, Dahab and Ras Sidr in accordance with the planning and construction requirements for the various land use areas, programs and priorities of integrated development projects in light of what is included in the approved general strategic plan for the three cities and in accordance with the procedures stipulated in the Construction Law No. 119 of 2008 and its executive regulations.
